TIPS & TRICKS: BRIMFIELD FAIR (PART II)

With hundreds of vendors selling their antique treasures over seven days the Brimfield Fair is a great day trip but not without its pitfalls. However here are some helpful tips to save the day and ensure it to be a fun and fruitful one!
  • Best to leave any kids at home unless you are using the Brimfield Fair as some type of punishment. But I think you would be the one punished.
  • Check the weather reports! I have done the fair in the rain and it is a very different experience to a bright sunny day (duh). Some vendors will also close for the day if the weather is poor.
  • Bring good walking shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking!
  • As you can imagine food and water are sold but for rather inflated prices. Make sure to carry along water and snacks.
  • Most vendors do not provide bags for any sold items. Remember to bring some of your own bags to carry your finds!
  • Parking lots fill up fast so get there early. Most lots charge about the same price so no deals to be had!
  • Do not fear purchasing a large piece. Most vendors have a delivery option. You also can rent a U-Haul truck available for rent at the fair. Additionally most areas are accessible to drive your vehicle within easy access of your purchased item.
  • Best deals are to be had on the last day. Most vendors are not interested in lugging their items back with them and are more than willing to give you a better than expected drop in price.
