DAY TRIP: MAPLE SYRUP TOURS AND RESTURANTS



It is not easy to produce maple syrup and that is why it is so dang expensive. There is about a four to six week window of opportunity to make this sweet wonderful syrup. Producers need to gather the sap from the maple trees, transport it to the “sugarhouse” (location where it is boiled) and boil the sap down (which can take two days).

We fortunately live in one of the best place on earth to learn and witness this amazing practice from start to finish. Massachusetts has an abundance of Maple Farms that are open to the public to observe the process and then sit down and partake in the consumption there of!
