For about the cost of a movie ticket you can hop on board a ferry and travel to an island…actually four. The Boston Harbor Island National and State Parks is a cluster of islands located just within the Boston harbor.
The islands make up the largest recreational area in metro Boston. This outing is a great option for individuals looking for a day on the water or a day to explore. Each island has a different feel and history which makes the trip unique at every stop.
The islands are a blast to walk or hike around but there are additionally some fun activities such as
yoga on the beach, kayaking, camping and live concerts. Operated by the National Park services ferry boats leave from Louise Warf on a fairly frequent schedule during the spring, summer and fall months.
