COOKING: THE ABSOLUTE BEST EVER CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES



Yet another wonderful Emily’s Aunt recipe! My oh my what would I do without Emily’s aunt. When I say the “Absolute Best Ever Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies” I really mean it. This is the type recipe that people have a bite of a cookie and beg you for the recipe. 

You can make the “Absolute Best Ever Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies” either crunchy or soft and

ersonally I like my cookies soft and wonderfully gooey. In order to get them that way I NEVER bake them for nine minutes. Normally I bake them for 4 to 5 minutes - depending on how large I make the cookies. Make sure they are just turning lightly golden brown on top and pull them out. Do not be scared they will come out looking not quiet done but let them sit and they will be perfect.

Be forewarned that I normally cut the recipe in half. If you make the whole thing make sure your mixer is up for the challenge.

Ingredients
  • 1 Lb Butter
  • 2 Cups White Sugar
  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 Cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 4 Cups Oats
  • 24 oz Chocolate Chips

Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 400
  2. Combined the butter, white sugar and brown sugar
  3. Add eggs
  4. Mix in flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and vanilla
  5. Add oatmeal and chips
  6. Bake for 9 minutes (see above note on baking)
