It would not be summer without a trip to Foxboro and the
Patriots practice. Unlike training for baseball, no traveling to another state
is needed. Practices takes place on home turf and are open to the public on
selected dates. Starting in late July and concluding in early August fans can
make their way to Gillette Stadium and watch these incredible athletes
practicing plays and interacting with the crowd.
Besides the practice itself fans can participate in themed
activities and games. Every attempt should be made to get there early to enjoy
the fan activities but additionally to claim your spot on the practice field.
The bleacher seats go fast but once filled fans can sit on the sideline grass.
To be honest I prefer the grass as it has a more community feel and you can
spread a blanket out and just enjoy the sunny afternoon. After practice players
will sign autographs and occasionally take photos. Although food and drink vendors are in supply,
bringing your own is a wise (and frugal) idea.
